31 Weeks

30w 5d

Hello 31 Weeks!! We are down to single digits until our due date. It’s so exciting and scary at the same time. I cannot wait to meet Mr. Sullivan but I also feel like I’m not ready for his arrival. Still so much to do. 🙂

Total weight gain: WAY TO MUCH!

Maternity clothes? are getting to small.

Stretch marks? have invaded my body, except my stomach.

Sleep: is for the weak. It’s pointless to try and sleep because I can never get comfortable.

Best moment this week: Realizing that we are down to single digit weeks until Sullivan gets here 🙂

Miss Anything? Not feeling like a house. Sleeping on my stomach.

Movement: All day, everyday and I love every minute of it.

Food cravings: I don’t really crave one thing.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Thankfully no. Not this week anyways :)

Gender: Boy!

Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks like crazy.

Symptoms: High blood pressure, back pain, braxton hicks.

Belly Button in or out? Out

Wedding rings on or off? On :) and it’s looking like I’ll be able to keep them on the whole pregnancy!

Happy or Moody most of the time: I’m happy one minute and moody the next. Damn hormones.

Looking forward to: Meeting our baby boy.

Sum It Up Saturday for June 9th 2012

I’d like to start by apologizing for Sum It Up Saturday not posting until Sunday this week. Cody’s new job allows him every other Friday off, which is usually the day I sit and type up blog post and schedule them to publish. This happened to be his Friday off and I never got around to typing up a post.

Now, to sum up my week 🙂

Last Saturday we got to watch my youngest brother in law play tee-ball.

Or is it t-ball?

Either way, it’s was fun and we enjoyed it 🙂

Connor playing t-ball.

Saturday night was my sister in law’s first solo dance recital. Emilie and I went and watched her dance last year, and I was super excited to see her perform this year. She’s such a cute and talented dancer. She even won a dance scholarship to dance next year.

Told you she was good 🙂

Unfortunately, Emilie’s attention span doesn’t last long and we ended up leaving right after she preformed and I never got a chance to get a picture of her.

Sunday afternoon on the way home from my in laws we stopped by my mom’s. Emilie spend the afternoon playing in the sand, building sand castles with Grandma.

Emilie playing in the sand.

Monday and Tuesday were spent lounging around at home. Emilie is cutting all four 2 year molars so life in our house is a bunch of drool and crankiness.

Dang teeth anyway.

Emilie not feeling the greatest.

Cuddling with momma.

By Wednesday and Thursday, with the help of a little tylenol, Emilie was back to her old self and we spend our days laughing and playing.

Emilie playing xylophone.

They opened a new splash pad at the local park and so we took advantage of Cody’s day off on Friday and took Emilie to play in the water. She absolutely loved it.

Emilie at the slash pad.

and that rounds out our week.

I’ll leave you with this:

(Notice the hand in my cleavage? My boobs are a new obsession of hers)

30 Week Doctors Appointment 6/4/12

This post is a few days late, but better late then never 😀

I had my 30 week appointment on Tuesday. My OB has been super cranky lately. I’m not sure if it’s because my appointments are becoming “boring” or what his deal is but it’s super annoying. The appointment before this last one I was so irritated with him I was ready to switch doctors. After talking with my husband and thinking about it some more I realized that switching doctors was probably just going to piss him off and then my luck he’d be the OB on call the day I deliver anyway so we decided just to wait him out. I have a 1 in 4 chance he’ll actually deliver Sullivan and I’ve heard nothing but nice things about the other 3 doctors in his practice so we’ll just ride it out for now.

I start weekly appointments from here on out along with weekly NST’s that may possibly turn into twice weekly NST’s. I had twice weekly NST’s with Emilie but Missouri had bigger and better equipment and all I did was sit in a comfy chair for an hour while watching  TV or messing around on my phone. Here, their machine hasn’t been update this century and I have to hold the “do-hicky” (I’m not sure what it’s called) on my belly while chasing Sullivan around my stomach make sure I don’t lose his  heartbeat. And, every time I feel him move I have to push a button. It’s more annoying than anything at this point but I guess that’s life 🙂

Sullivan is doing great. Both the doctor and the nurse felt him kick on Tuesday and said “whoa he’s a strong guy”. I am measuring a couple weeks ahead, but then again I did with Emilie as well. I’m up to 191lbs which is 10lbs more then I weighted the day I delivered Emilie but I started out about 20lbs heavier this pregnancy then I did with her. I’m up about 20lbs so far this pregnancy and hoping I can keep it under 200lbs by the time I deliver. I really need to start looking into a work out routine and a balance diet so that I can start once Sullivan is here. I was down to 155 when Cody came home from his deployment and I’d really like to get back down to at least that, if not even my ultimate goal of 130. Wishful thinking, I know 🙂

30 Weeks

Total weight gain: I’m still not 100% sure what my “starting” weight was but I’m up to 191 as of my doctors appointment today. I’d like to say that it’s all baby, but I’m pretty sure it’s probably the cheese cake I had for lunch 🙂 Haha!

Maternity clothes? I weight more now that I did the day I delivered Emilie. I think I’ll be in maternity clothes for a while, sadly.

Stretch marks? Just on my rear-end…and down my thighs.

Sleep: Emilie is teething, so even if I could sleep I’m not getting much at this point.

Best moment this week: Feeling Sullivan twist and turn inside my belly 🙂

Miss Anything? Being able to move. Not being in pain.

Movement: All day, everyday and I love every minute of it.

Food cravings: Still peanut butter but today I drank tea. I hate tea. Weird.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Thankfully no. Not this week anyways :)

Gender: Boy!

Labor Signs: A few braxton hicks but that’s about all.

Symptoms: Still in a lot of back pain.

Month In Review (May)

Hello 🙂

I’m also going to start a end of the month post called “Month In Review” where I’ll review (mostly in pictures) what we did throughout the month.

So, here goes for the month of May.

(P.S I cannot believe it’s June already…which is so close to Aug….and the birth of Mr. Sullivan).

May was abnormally warm for this time of year which meant that Emilie got to enjoy a lot of outdoors time, which of course she loved.

May 3rd 2012

We bought Emilie a water table, which as you can see she clearly thinks is a pool. Haha!

May 4th 2012

Bubbles provide hours of entertainment for Emilie and that cute little Dora bubble holder is spill proof so it’s a total win. Well, except that she sometimes eats the bubbles accidently while trying to blow them.

May 7th 2012

We teamed up with my sister, her husband and took the kids to a place called Crazy Bounce. It’s a huge pole barn filled with blow up slides are ball pits. The kids had a blast and the parents got a work out.

May 10th 2012

Momma got a new iPhone and took this cute little family picture.

May 15th 2012

Emilie started gymnastics this month and she absolutely loves it. I’m sad that the place where she goes is now closing. Hopefully we’ll be able to find another place where she can continue gymnastics at because she really enjoys it.

May 20th 2012

We went with my family to Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Here’s Emilie’s first feel of Lake Michigan.

May 20th 2012

Probably my favorite picture of the month. While we were in Silver Lake we stopped by a petting farm that had a humongous chair. What a cute bunch of kids.

May 20th 2012

Family picture from our day at Silver Lake.

May 26th 2012

Emilie swinging with Gram on Memorial Day weekend.

May 26th 2012

I love this picture so much but it makes me sad looking at how big my little princess is getting. Camping on Memorial Day weekend.

May 28th 2012

Watching the Memorial Day parade.

And lastly:

May 31st 2012

There is never a dull moment in our house 🙂

That ends May’s Month in Review 🙂 Have a happy June!!

Sum It Up Saturday for June 2nd 2012

I’ve decided to start a weekly blog post called “Sum It Up Saturday” where I sum up my week in a couple paragraphs while adding a few pictures I’ve taken throughout the week. This will help me remember some of the cute things Emilie’s said or did while allowing everyone a little update on how we are doing!

Okay lets start. I already updated Monday in my camping post so I’ll start with Tuesday.

Emilie normally has gymnastics on Tuesdays but because we only have one car right now we skipped gymnastics and spent Tuesday relaxing around the house. We were both exhausted from our busy weekend and I had a weeks worth of laundry to catch up on. Cody’s new job started on Tuesday and he really seems to like it. I think it’s pretty much a work at your own pace job and as long as you get everything done that needs to be done that day no one bothers you. He works with other guys (an a few girls too..lol) but I’m pretty sure once training is over he’ll work alone most of the time. I really think that’s what he needed and I’m positive he’ll be happier now. I’ve already noticed a change in his attitude and it’s only been a few days.

(I just re-read that paragraph and there’s a lot of “I thinks” and “I’m pretty sure’s”. So basically, I don’t have a clue. lol)

The rest of the week has been about the same. Emilie and I have done a lot of relaxing and a little bit of cleaning and Cody’s worked during the day and went to class at night. I sometimes wish we had another vehicle so Em and I could get out of the house but I’m not really sure where we’d go besides my parents and gas is a bit to pricey to make the hour trip one way more then once a week or so.

Emilie found a binky in her toy box this week. She hasn’t had one in about a month so I was surprised that she even put it in her mouth, let along cried when I tried to take it away. To avoid a huge meltdown I let her keep it until nap time (about an hour) and then while she was sleep I took it from her. To my surprise she woke up from nap looking for “bebe” (She calls all her “security” things “bebe’s”. Blankie, baby, binky). She grumbled most of the day for her bebe but by the next morning she was over it again.

I’ll be the first to admit that I wasn’t thrilled to make her give up her binky but in the end I’m glad we did. I don’t know if you’d say she’s behind in talking, but she’s not saying phrases like other kids her age (I know, I know, don’t compare. Every kid grows differently). Since we’ve given up the binky I’ve noticed a big difference in her talking more. There’s still only a short list of words she says but we are hearing them (and a bunch of babbles) much more frequently. Thursday while getting her a sippy cup she said “juice” and then signed “thank you”. She’s also been using the sign “more” a lot lately as well as “please”.

Today (which is Friday because this post was written in advance) we are headed back downstate. Cody’s cousin’s open house is tonight and tomorrow is my littlest sister in laws dance recital. I went last year and it was a lot of fun. Cody didn’t have a chance to go because he was deployed so I’m excited he’s home this year to watch. This is the first year she’ll have a solo performance and I know she’ll do great.

That sums up Sum It Up Saturday. See you next week ❤
